Create a base solid
Create a box, for example 50 × 40 × 20 mm. Orbit the camera so the top face is easy to see.
This beginner tutorial shows a core ShapeAnywhere workflow: create a solid, sketch directly on a face and push a closed profile into the body to create a pocket.
Create a box, for example 50 × 40 × 20 mm. Orbit the camera so the top face is easy to see.
Choose Rectangle and start directly on the top face. Position the profile with snaps or reference distances and leave enough material around it.
Activate Push/Pull and click inside the closed rectangular region. Drag the profile inward. The preview shows the resulting pocket.
Enter a depth such as 8 mm and confirm. Alternatively, snap to an existing model edge or level while dragging.
If needed, select the new pocket edges and add a fillet or chamfer. This turns the simple cut into a more finished printable part.
